While everyone is wondering what the future Apple’s smartphone iPhone 8 will look like, the company announced on Tuesday 21st March 2017, a new color red for the iPhone 7, released last September 2016.

The operation is not just marketing, says Apple: it is above all “an unprecedented means to support the Global Fund to fight AIDS,” said a statement. Indeed, this special edition of the iPhone7, will be available on March 24th. It is stamped as “Product Red”.

It is in connection with (RED), an organization that fights against AIDS, Apple will return part of the revenue generated by sales to contribute to the fight. Concerning the iPhone itself, an element disturbs many people: the front white front. They would have liked to have a black facade.

Launched in 2002 by Bono, this brand is associated with various companies that sell their red-colored products. A portion of the profits is then donated to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS. The iPhone 7 red is available only in 128 and 256 GB versions, starting at $749 (the same price as the equivalent in one of the five other colors already existing).  It will be pre-ordered from this Friday, March 24th for availability at the end of March in the United States and in more than 40 countries including France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada.

At the same time, the iPhone SE sees its capacity double: the 32 GB and 128 GB models replace the 16 GB and 64 GB models and will be available from Friday 24th March at an unchanged price starting at 489 € on Apple.com And in the Apple Store. In addition, new colors are added to the collection of shells for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: azure, camellia, and pebble for the silicone shells; Taupe, sapphire and red fruits for leather hulls.
