Bose Quiet Comfort 35 features a very comfortable and foldable design. It offers the most powerful noise reduction system, excellent sound quality for a Bluetooth headset, and hands-free performance.

The presence of a cable for use in wired mode is just amazing.  The battery cannot be changed by the user. Its weight is greater than that of the QuietComfort 25.

Here is the Bose product that many were waiting for:

The Bose QuietComfort 35 is the ultimate Bluetooth headset with noise reduction that you can now find. The QC 35 is a wireless headset with active noise reduction.

The QuietComfort 25 and QC 35 models are very close in terms of design, the QC35 is a bit heavier: 310 gr against 196 gr. The main ergonomic evolution of the QC35 is the headband which is wider which increases the stability.

Bose explains that its active noise reduction system is based on microphones placed inside and outside the headphones. Unwanted sounds are processed by two processors, one for each ear, that respond in a fraction of milliseconds.

The life of the battery is given for 20 hours, which is rather very good. But Bose has opted for an integrated rechargeable battery instead of the QCA’s AAA batteries. Personally, this change does not bother us. But some people prefer to change the batteries if necessary, for example in the middle of a flight or a train trip.

The good news: Is that the headset can be used in wired mode via the supplied cable. On the other hand, noise reduction does not work in this configuration. But the headphones isolate well enough to eliminate a lot of unwanted ambient sounds.

The option of the cable is also appreciated when traveling by plane because some companies restrict the use of Bluetooth. The cable is also useful for connecting to the seat and accessing the device’s multimedia system. This is one of the disadvantages of the QC30 In-Ear Headset which has an adaptive noise reduction system but does not have a wired mode.

Other options:

In the QC35 include a built-in remote control to the right earphone to handle the volume, playback, and answer/end phone calls.

The headset is compatible with the Bose Connect application for Android and iOS. We have associated it without problem with an iPhone 6s, a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and a MacBook Air. Two devices can be connected simultaneously and switched from one to the other.

The Connect application:

It is likely to evolve but is fairly basic at the moment. It mainly serves to manage the list of associated devices, update the firmware and change the auto power off setting. When the headset is switched on, a female voice will indicate the remaining battery level and the device to which it is connected.

It can also be used as a headset for hands-free calls and can alleviate sounds such as the wind or the hubbub of the crowd. There is also a system that makes it possible to hear his voice when speaking so as not to have to raise the tone.

The operation is really very good, especially for conference calls. The QC35 and moreover superior to QC25 in this field.

Sound: excellent for Bluetooth

The QC365 may not be the best Bluetooth headset for sound, but it is part of it and has an active noise reduction system like Sony.

Noise reduction: a reference

As for the audio quality, the Bose is not up to the Sennheiser whose basses are a little more precise and the sound more natural. It is currently our favorite headphone in terms of audio quality. On the other hand, the noise reduction system of the QC35 is more efficient and clearly superior.

Bose is truly a reference in this field!

  • The Beats Studio Wireless offers less noise reduction.
  • The sound is more cordial than on the QC35 but the latter is clearer and its bass more definite. In wired mode, the sound of the QC35 is a bit better.
  • Indeed, despite all the efforts of the Bose engineers, Bluetooth results in an inevitable loss of quality.
  • In wired mode, the basses are a little more precise and the clarity improves slightly.
  • The difference is not enormous, but it exists.

In the end, we off-set its audio quality, what makes the whole QC35’s interest is the performance of its noise reduction system, its comfort level and quality in hands-free mode. And we would have no hesitation in spending 1,319 AED for this model instead of QC 25.
