Lenovo has decided to abandon its Android overhang to offer its smartphones only with an unmodified version of the Google OS. Lenovo will no longer offer its Vibe Pure overlay. The company’s marketing director confirmed the news. The users of the mark had obviously demanded this changeover. Lenovo decided.

The application will be almost immediate. The K8 Note smartphone that will soon be released in India will be rid of its user interface. With this gesture, Lenovo says he wants to be in perfect agreement with its fans. This will also allow the company to immediately update its smartphones when a new version of Android or a security update will point the tip of their nose. All the smartphones of the K series launched in 2017 will receive Android as soon as Google will have given its go.

Lenovo will nevertheless retain some enhancements made by overlays such as technologies to fully utilize the Dolby Atmos format or the TheaterMax. Do not panic this measure only affects Lenovo smartphones. Motorola is a separate company and all Motorola smartphones will retain their interface.

  • Lenovo Introduces a Computer with a Flexible Screen

Lenovo unveils an amazing computer concept with a flexible screen. The manufacturer’s R & D office is running at full speed. Lenovo is always looking for new concepts to consolidate its leadership position in the computer market.

After the formidable Yoga Book, Lenovo goes even further with a computer that breaks the rules completely. At the Lenovo Transform event in New York, the company introduced what could be the computer of the future. It has become customary to talk about flexible screen for smartphones but this technology could also apply to computers.

This device has been named Future of Personalized Computing. It has a flexible structure. The screen can be folded and rolled. There is no hinge between the screen and the keyboard. The slab is much bigger and it gives it a little side “newspaper”.

Lenovo also got rid of the trackpad. The computer can be controlled with the keyboard, to the voice, with a stylus or tactile. This computer is a bit of an interpretation of the famous tablets with a flexible screen that have never before seen the light but with a keyboard extension.

With even more audacity, Lenovo could go further and add to its computer of the future the keyboard of the Yoga Book. It should be borne in mind that this computer is a concept and may not come into being in this form.

  • Windows 10 PCs with Snapdragon 835 processors

Snapdragon 835 processors will no longer be available only to smartphones. They will also run PCs under Windows 10. Qualcomm announced that several PC manufacturers will integrate Snapdragon 835 processors into their machines.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and  Sony Xperia XZ Premium smartphones will soon be joined by PCs. The first builders to try out the adventure are Asus, HP, and Lenovo. You should not expect to see a Snapdragon 835 in a conventional laptop but rather in a mid-range 2-in-1.

They will come directly to compete with the Surface Pro but with lower prices. Qualcomm said that these new PCs will not require a fan like Surface Pro with chips Intel Core m3 and Core i5. This will leave more latitude to Asus, HP, and Lenovo to make devices thinner and lighter.

Qualcomm has also specified that its PCs will instead focus on mobility. They will come with an X16 LTE modem that can reach download peaks up to 1Gbps.

Another advantage of the Snapdragon 835 processor is its power consumption. These computers will have an unusual autonomy for PCs. According to Qualcomm, these machines will be able to hold more than one day without being recharged. You will have to be patient before seeing the PCs under Snapdragon 835 from Lenovo, HP, and Asus. Qualcomm said they will not see the day before the fourth quarter of 2017.
