The Nokia P1 now unveils its technical features and price. The first top-of-the-line Android of the Finnish manufacturer will likely be presented at the MWC. It would then be marketed at the price of 800 dollars in version 128 GB and 950 dollars in 256 GB version.

The Nokia P1 is naturally equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and offers all the latest technologies. Nokia introduced a new terminal positioned at the entry level at the beginning of the month, a terminal that marks the manufacturer’s return to the mobility market.

Nokia P1: a design based on the Sharp Aquos XX3?

It should, therefore, give pride of place to glass and metal, with neat finishes and ergonomics finely studied. Finally, glass, everything would really depend on the model chosen.

  • The P1 should carry a 5.3-inch IGZO screen with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
  • The slab would be protected by a glass pane treated with Gorilla Glass 5.
  • Behind, we would find a Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6 GB of RAM.
  • The storage space would start at 128GB for the base model and it would reach 256GB for the most expensive version, and therefore the one with a ceramic shell.
  • There is no mention of the presence – or the absence – of a micro SD card reader.

 Two models to choose from

The main sensor would reach a resolution of 22.6 million pixels and it would be surmounted by a lens provided by ZEISS. No word on its opening yet. The fingerprint reader would be part and it would be located on the right side of the device. It would also incorporate ultrasonic technology to make detection faster. The device should finally be supplied in Android 7.0 Nougat, with some home optimizations.

Although no photos of the camera have leaked, for now, the source specifies that it would resume the design of the Sharp Aquos xx3. A press release had suggested that it would propose a design similar to that of the Japanese smartphone. A design certainly common but rather successful. Moreover, the presence of the new glass Gorilla Glass 5 on the screen remains excellent news.

If this datasheet proves to be accurate, we can truly say that Nokia has made efforts at all levels, including the battery that should display 3500 mAh meter or the Carl Zeiss certified camera. Note that the fingerprint reader would be located on the right side of the device and would be based on ultrasound.
